How many of us have had the desire to learn more by astrology? How many of us want to reassure ourselves, and to want to believe that anything is possible? How many of us ask questions about the future?
Astrology gives us this extraordinary opportunity to put our head out the window, offering to our eyes a scene depicting the future. Each celestial transit offers us a hope or a fear. Millions of lines have been written about the Aspects of planets. The greater part of them are correct. Thus there is a part of one’s soul in these texts, this is recognized in part through what one or another author has to say.
Tirelessly, we would like to be more accurate, more specific, less vague, to silence all interior doubts that undermine the domestic hope of a serene life. If nothing is worse than certainties, the worst certainties are harmful only if they are powered by something unverifiable. So how to verify these claims ? How to check one’s intuitions ? This transit, will bring a career change or will it bring about an affective meeting ?
The purpose of this chapter is to answer this question. We must find a more
precise method, by restricting the proportion of divination in interpretations,
allow a better response to the person concerned, without letting one’s
own projections get involved in the process of interpretation.
Such a method is not utopic. It exists. It is called "The charts of zodiacal divisions”. Parasara, Indian sage living in the seventeenth century, has revealed this process, which to say the least, is original. It is worth noting that in the thirteenth century, monk astrologers used a method that was more or less equivalent. The divisions are not just "one more method." This is not a system that unduly prejudices one’s "latent potential" that only the astrologer sees, and he alone is able to reveal them to the person concerned ! The charts of the divisions do not allow one to dream of what "could be." They express real life. They show us our strengths, our weaknesses, our worries, our cowardice, our fears, our obsessions, our courage, our forgiveness, our hatred, our conditioning, our loves, our struggles, our enthusiasms, our well-beings, our ...
Charts of divisions bring an extra dimension to astrology. Unknown in the
West, they respond mainly to practical issues: how to know a child, partner,
occupation, etc. ? They have the disadvantage (or perhaps an advantage for
those who dare take the step) to require the use of the sidereal zodiac. Their
use is really quite simple, just be familiar with Masters and know how to
read the positions in the Houses. The Anglo-Saxon system attached what they
Divisions divide fields of life, and thus allow a study of each particular area. This will provide a "harmonic" that will talk about brothers and sisters, another will talk about money, cash and your wallet ; another harmonic will talk about achievements, investments, stock, enabling one to know whether the person can "make money". We will have a chart on how to think, the state of mind, whether the person is positive or negative, if he "takes the lead" or not.
You now understand that there is a harmonic that will match every area of life. This system allows a study of each field, a much more subtle way than that of the Houses.
If you see your spouse and others in House 7, the D9, the division of partners, this will allow a far more precise and correct reading in this field. It will read a chart entirely dedicated to this specific area.
To read this book, you must have a basic knowledge of astrology. It is not
necessary to be a virtuoso, but knowing well how to read a chart. You should
know what a Sign is, what a House is, know the planets and the Masters. This
technique requires one to simplify and remain "square". It is needless
to bother with the latest research on asteroids or on the Houses, this is
ancient astrology that has proven itself. The largest number of astrological
techniques coming from the twentieth century have already fallen into oblivion
after the death of their promoter. What remains is only what really works.
Did you know that in Roman times, the astrologer who was wrong was "invited"
to the circus ? It was thus deadly to make a mistake. Do you think they were
using techniques that work only half the time ?
There are a profusion of divisions. They have been updated by Parasara, an Indian astrologer of the sixteenth century. I do not know how this wise man went about it, but it was a stroke of inspired genius. For example, to calculate the Division 9, those of partners, one divides a constellation of 30 degrees by 9, which will give 3° 20'. Thus, any planet between 0° and 3° 20' will remain in Aries. Any planet located between 3° 20 'and 6 40 (2 x 3° 20') will change constellation, and end up in Taurus. From 6° 40 'to 10° (10° ÷ 3), every planet found therein will be deported into Gemini, the third Sign, this exclusively for Division 9.
Thus, for example, Venus is no longer exclusively a Venus in Gemini, but a Venus in Gemini for the generality of being. It will behave in Leo at the relational level, in Sagittarius regarding the way of thinking. Venus in Aquarius regarding the parents, in Leo for matters of luxury, etc. Venus thus becomes multi-dimensional, it goes beyond its simple role in relationships in general.
Compute a chart of division, is a bit like a special zodiac was extracted from the natal zodiac, and this specific zodiac matches a particular area of life.
The calculation is simple if one has tables. In practice, some divisions are not linear, and that means it is not possible to simply divide to find the position of a planet.
Those with a good software need not calculate anything. Orion corresponds perfectly to the needs of those who explore the division charts.
Here is a list of the major divisions :
We all have our own problems, but one should not become pessimistic in interpreting the periods and tonalities, but see what one must do to get better and to become stronger. In other words, take up the challenge, while being both prudent and wise !
The formula is simple: Divide the position by 15 (half of a Sign) and multiply the result truncated by 30.
For example, if Venus is at 17° 08' Gemini, it will be located at 23° 51' Taurus in the sidereal zodiac, which is 53° 5' from 0° Aries. We must start by shifting the planet in the amount of precession that affects it. In general, it is 23°. Attached is a table of ayanamsa, allowing one to shift positions precisely. Dividing (53° by 15) which gives 3.5. We only keep the integer part, which gives 3, which is multiplied by 30. 3 x 30 gives 90, or Cancer. Venus is situated in Cancer, on the 23rd degree. We keep the initial degree in all cases for all divisions. If the constellation is affected, this is not the case for degrees.
The term wealth is considered here in aggregate (money, cash).

For example, a planet located between 10° to 19° 59' 59" in the constellation of Aries on the radical chart, finds itself positioned in the constellation of Leo. One must consider the constellation and not the degree of the Sign involved. If this is the Sun, it will then be in domicile in Leo. The planetary period and sub-periods of the Sun will then be conducive to the brothers and sisters. If a planet is falling, it conjures up problems for the brothers and sisters, if that is possible.

Synthetic, typical of Jupiter. Saturn exalted in this CD, shows a person who thinks deeply and who may be slow in his way of thinking; it is different for different people. Jupiter in fall in the D5 indicates a lack of global thinking and reflection, but one who will need to understand - at least - all the mechanics involved in a question asked. The planets are well positioned in a planetary period indicating that the person will finish the period being more positive than in the beginning. It improves one’s state of mind during this period.

The Moon in fall often indicates that emotivity can harm a relationship. The constellation containing the Sun or the Moon indicates the way of entering into a relationship.
The Master of the Ascendant of D10 in domicile indicates a person who places a great deal of importance in his profession. This is in relationship with a Master planet of the Ascendant, and the constellation in which this planet falls.

This chart related to expected problems. In spite of these, planets in domicile or exhalted or in the same position as on the natal chart, avoid these problems. Certain astrologers read the karma in this division chart.
The major drawback of this technique is the precision of the time of birth. This is especially true when using high harmonics, D20, D24, D27, etc. Taking the example of the D24, that is, education, it is the harmonic that will be studied when dealing with a review. If the time is not correct, one can easily have a Sign of shifting, which distorts all interpretations.
When dealing with the divisions, the most important thing is to know how to read - even if it may seem terribly mundane - a chart of division. There are things one must know. We read the charts of divisions in the Indian fashion. The fundamental difference, besides the sidereal zodiac, is the House division – that is, the calculation of the Houses.
The domification zodiacal and not that of Placidus, commonly used
by astrologers. This differs significantly from the Placidus house division,
but you get used to it quickly and very quickly adopt this "way of seeing."
As it is more precise in the statement of events, the tendency to stop using
Placidus thereafter is natural. Remember that the Placidus
method was made more to meet the problem of planetary dominance, rather than
to create a new House division.
In this method, a constellation is equal to a House. The cusp, in the Zodiacal domification, no longer reports the beginning of a House, but marks well and truly the most important place in the House. That the Ascendant is either the first or the last degree of the constellation it resides in, does not change anything, the House will always segregate with the limits imposed by the constellation that contains the House. Thus, if Mars is located 18° from the constellation of Pisces, and that the Ascendant is located 23° from the same constellation, Mars will be considered in House 1 and not in House 12, as it would be in the case with Placidus.
One can perhaps be disoriented with this at first. Also note that that we are talking about concrete areas, not psychological influences. It is not a case of understanding what is happening, but to identify the concrete situation. This will also allow a much better psychological approach thereafter.
To conclude this section on the House division, lets say that to remain consistent with the system, this method requires reading of a domification equally when the constellation shows its limits to the House, and where the Cusp indicates a place where energies are focused with a maximum intensity, but in no case the Cusp indicates the beginning of the House.
Take the example of Salvador Dali, born Wednesday, 11/05/1904 8:43, in Figueras, Spain.
If one takes the Ascendant of D10, a division of the profession, we find
the 29th degree of the constellation of Pisces. The master of the constellation
of Pisces, Jupiter, is located in Cancer. The Cusp of the House 5 is located
in Cancer, the 29th degree. Although Jupiter is behind the Cusp, it is located
in the constellation comprising the House 5. It is thus located in House 5,
and not in House 4 as would be the case with the Placidus house
The major privilege of the divisions is to secure the interpretation. If it is not necessary to work the charts in the sidereal zodiac, it is essential to address the divisions in the sidereal mode. Divisions must be processed in the sidereal mode, as interpretations would have nothing to say in the tropical mode, due to the Masters.
Do not interpret everything: thus we will only consider certain points. If you think you are missing information in its treating the charts in this way, one must say that in a car, you turn the ignition key only once. Then you forget it. It has a specific role at some specific point. It is like this with the divisions.
The Ascendant of the natal chart for each division will always mark the overall
colour of the area indicated. Thus the constellation of Pisces of D10 for
Dali will mark the imaginary, the artistic, the mystic touch that characterizes
For solar revolutions, the Ascendant will indicate the general climate, for each division of the year.
There are a series of simple rules, that it is essential to follow, if one wants to read correctly the charts of divisions. Here are three things that are harmful to the person concerned when it is necessary to maintain a serene attitude in the face of that which comes from the division examined.
On the contrary, the following points note the satisfactions in the study of divisions :
Nevertheless, there exist subtle connections to the Aspects that must be respected if one wishes the interpetation to be correct.
We all have our own set of problems, but one should not become pessimistic in interpreting periods and tones, but see what is needed to improve oneself and become stronger. In other words, reeply to a challenge while showing prudence and wisdom !
The divisions involve planetary dispositions. Thus, each planet can be seen as a function of its position: well placed, in neutral, both well disposed in a Sign and poorly placed in Houses 6, 8 or 12, or poorly disposed because in fall. If it is neutral or perigrene, without being in these Houses called "dusthanas" - or cruel - it means nothing very special in terms of the division.
This division discusses the state of mind. It is essential if we are to understand the psychology of the person involved. It will be seen through D5 if the person is pessimistic, positive, neutral or otherwise. One has to read one of the planets involved, thinking they will hurt or benefit the state of mind and the emotional side. Thus, if a planet in the natal chart is attacked by the Aspects of planets such as the Nodes, if it is well positioned in the D5, and that the Nodes do not aspect this planet in D5, the state of mind will be unaffected.
Here are the effects of planets in the D5:
aWith the Sun well disposed, one can say that the person concerned is very lucid, the individual has a greater awareness and good overview. This person globalizes perfectly. It is someone difficult to destabilize. The person has few problems concerning self-confidence.
Nevertheless, one has a radiant personality. One needs to matter, to be a central point, without taking this in the pejorative sense. One’s character is, subject to the other elements of the chart, noble, honest, magnanimous, loyal and generous. One does not like being wrong.
The natural presence leads one to be respected and one’s image is good.
One naturally takes a leading position and is easily recognized by one’s
signature wherever one goes.
a If the Sun is badly placed, it sometimes causes a loss of self-confidence. The subject may react badly when under a bout of emotion. To others, one may appear less intelligent than one actually is.
This person has difficulties to assert itself in life. One lacks confidence,
which is linked to one’s way of seeing things. One should try to see
things more positively.
a If the Sun is both well and ill disposed, this person will need to learn to avoid the pitfall of a behavior that is pessimistic, or too intransigent. If this is not the case, one may lack self-confidence and thus give a depreciated picture of oneself.
b With the Moon positive, this person has an excellent feeling for others. Very intuitive, one feels immediately what works and what doesn’t. It is a significant advantage. One’s intelligence is more intuitive than logical. One likes changes and responds well to them.
Naturally emotional, this person is sensitive, who likes change. Past experiences, family life and sense of security may have great importance in one’s way thinking. Eager from the perspective of others, one absorbs this before having one’s own.
This person has a character that sneaks through positively in all situations.
Family experiences and the sense of security, are paramount in one’s
way of thinking. One needs to dream and escape. One likes others to be in
agreement. One captures all the coloured nuances of an emotional touch.
b If the moon is weak in division 5, this person is quickly under the heat of the moment, and poorly manages feelings sometimes. One reacts badly to change. One can confuse feelings and intellect, and vice versa.
One rarely feels safe and what might be taken by others as selfishness is
in fact protection - probably poorly managed - against one’s hypersensitivity.
The importance of the past is paramount in one’s life. One must learn
to love oneself and not to absorb other people's opinions without having one’s
b The Moon is both positive and conflictual at the same time, pushes one to have to make a major effort to feel good about oneself, without needing to think about it. Emotions and emotiveness can play tricks. One also observes a difficulty in capturing the emotions of others.
c With Mercury positive, this person is an excellent teacher. Knowing how to explain and explain. Precise and convincing, one knows how to use one’s curiosity. Being not necessarily profound, but pragmatic. The mind is inclined towards experimentation.
With a sharp mind, this person wants to shine by his ingenious side, smart and well informed. The mind is not necessarily profound. Talkative and expressive in words, one likes contacts.
This person moves a lot, especially with his mind. His intellectual capacities
are very beneficial to him. Meanwhile his ingenious side, smart and well informed,
allows him to fully enjoy life.
c A weak Mercury pushes to a lightness of mind and can cause harm. One’s superficiality can turn against one. If this is not the case, one has difficulty being understood or to explain. Words have a hard time having the scope that one attempts to communicate. Sometimes one seems to "be speaking Greek." That's why some people might think - rightly or wrongly - of a lack of intelligence or ability to listen.
Nervous, changeable, excitable, fickle, this person has great difficulty
in accepting who he is. He has trouble keeping promises. Messages rarely reach
as far as he would like. Sometimes it feels as if he is "speaking Greek."
Others do not perceive the words with the same emotional value that was meant.
One can therefore have difficult explaining oneself.
c If it is both strong and weak at the same time, concerning Mercury, this person has difficulty getting the message across, or to establish a dialogue. One may feel compelled, at times, to resolve everything with one's head, even though that may not necessarily be useful.
d This person knows how to seduce and impress. He knows how to behave in all circumstances. He knows how to say things frankly without offending anyone. It's almost a gift with him. He knows how to generate interest among others, to take advantage of certain situations healthily. We note the intelligence in all that affects the relational world. He has a sense of values at this level.
This person wants to love and enjoy life. He loves life. He likes to charm others and he needs to be loved to give the best of himself.
An artist inside, the character of the person is not pressing. It is oriented
more toward what affects sweetness and harmony. Sensual, he loves life and
knows how to love.
d Venus is at the same time both strong and weak, and pushes the person not to understand the way when it comes to fun. It may hurt to say the word he should not say, and this at the wrong time. One does not always know what attitude to adopt to be to one’s advantage.
d When Venus is weak, the person does not believe in itself enough. It can thus give, unwittingly, an impression of harshness or, conversely, give the impression of a certain softness. The tone is not always appropriate.
This person seeks perfection sometimes too often, which cannot exist there where one seeks it. Too shy or too strict, one needs to be loved, but one’s attitude makes one say that one accepts poorly this need such as it is. Instability and dissatisfaction are two things to banish from one’s life.
e This person acts intelligently. One quickly understands things. One’s intelligence is fast, hardworking and goes straight to the point bluntly. One easily masters everything that is technical.
The character of the individual is whole, direct and independent. One’s opinions are sometimes too absolute. One does not like being ordered, because his thoughts seek independence. Techniques - computers, technology, etc.. - Do not scare one.
The character of this person is as a leader of men. Energetic, active, courageous and combative, one is terribly voluntary.
e If Mars is at the same time both strong and weak, the person sometimes acts against the run of things, being too emotional. One drives straight ahead without reading the user manual, to regret it later.
Whene Mars if weak, the persosn gives the inpression of not acting in an appropriate way. One can lack self-confidence or believe that one cannot get there. It is more ddifficult, but not impossible, to control one's emotions. It is impèortant that one keeps ones way of behaviour intact.
If this evil person channels his energy, disorder easily follows. Easily
dominated by emotions, impulses, and serving. One may lack perseverance or
energy. Attention to a lack of tact ...
f This person has self-confidence. The result is a good overview and an infectious positivism. Appropriately ambitious, one assesses the situation very well and identifies people perfectly. One is difficult to be put out.
This person does not like to "take the lead" for anything. One prefers to do - or keep - confidence, and loves to exercise common sense. One is generous and open.
This person evaluates things very well, people or situations, which opens up certain advantages. A source of good advice, one is easily listened to for common sense. One’s mind is well placed and will be large and philosophic.
f When Jupiter is weak and strong at the time, the person does not always have a clear vision of his ambition. Depending on circumstances, he may lack self-confidence, and he can wait too long before acting.
f When Jupiter is weak, the person has not always a good idea of his ambition. one has not necessarily a good overview of the situation. One lacks confidence in oneself or in others. One's mind may be conservative because it reassures one and avoids questioning oneself.
This person sometimes acts contrary to the image that he wants to give. He is generous if it suits him. He can take care of himself selfishly before all things, while proclaiming his selfless side. His mind lacks openness if he is not careful.
When Saturn is positive in D5, the person functions better with his head when one allows the time to understand the multiple mecanisms of a situation. He has a profound intelligence and he needs to get to the end of things. He can be incredibly patient if it allows him to attain his goals. His sprit is rather one of a researcher.
g This person has a rigorous mind, prudent and thoughtful. One’s sense of responsibility is always positive, for one counts every grain of sand that could interfere with established plans. One has no problems with loneliness. One enjoys anything related to scholarship.
g When Saturn is both weak and strong, the person may have trouble thinking positively. One may think first about the disadvantages before thinking of the advantages. One can hide one’s ambition. Some fears that are not recognized can cause certain problems.
This person has a spirit that is rather pessimistic or very realistic, one
needs a lot of security. Some anxiety lurks in the background. One needs to
control everything and one does not necessarily like change. One needs to
better manage one’s internal feeling of loneliness.
g This person has difficulty seeing things more in depth. One lacks patience at this level. One may have a tendency, if unchecked, to be pessimistic or to blacken situations. One’s mind is not inclined towards deepening. There may be a fear of novelty. This person hates that one discovers its fundamental flaws.
This person has problems with loneliness. Pessimistic, one does not allow
oneself, due to one’s way of thinking, to be happy. One can be tormented,
turned to the past, to the mistakes made sometimes long ago, and which would
be the cause of all the problems. One may want, to one’s detriment,
to want to control everything.
k This person has a complex mind, which may seem tortured or too passionate. One is more marginal than one appears. One is complex.
This person has difficulty to be more "clear". Very passionate,
one sometimes has difficulty to be a little more detached, which could help.
One side is too "entire", too "greedy", which can cause
problems. One must learn to step back from things.
l This person is very individualistic. One revels in situations where one cannot be understood. One’s way of thinking is marginal and rebellious.
This person wants to be free of everything. One has a very independent mind, which can cause problems. It is not easy for one to completely understand others. There is always an emotional involvement or a mystic touch that colours one’s thinking, from near or from far.
If the Master of D5 is in residence, then one has someone more intelligent
than the average. One reflects quietly when necessary, but without necessarily
being bothered to think too much.
If the Master of D5 is falling, the individual may tend to act against the tide. This lack of self-confidence and some of the attitudes may be adverse. One does not have the user manual of one’s existence, and one will have to bring together the rules of this by oneself in order to reconstruct the manual.
If the planet is located in Houses 6, 8 or 12 of D5, this person does
not always work to his own advantage, which is related to the way of thinking.
One may have difficulty in following his thoughts.
The constellation where the ruler of D5 falls has its importance.
This person thinks in a direct, frank and forthright way. The intelligence leads one to take care of oneself first.
When this person thinks, it is about concrete things. One would like to be infallable.
This person has a quick mind, sharp and direct, but not necessarily profound. One appreciates humour, discussion and one likes to move and talk.
This person's thinking is influenced by past experiences. One thinks in terms of what one’s feelings dictate. The way of thinking can possibly be "square".
This person likes to show what's brilliant in one. One likes to show off one’s knowledge, one is often magnanimous.
This person tries to be as perfect as possible. One seeks perfection in everything, even to one’s own detriment. One can be very dedicated. One likes to analyze and to understand.
This person refines the way of thinking based on experiences had with others. One seeks a balance. One prefers a mutuality.
This person thinks deeply, and needs to take everything apart. One changes one’s way of thinking as a function of the depth of mind engaged.
This person has a free and philosphical mind. Liking what is out of the ordinary.
This person thinks concretely and slowly, deeply and calmly or coldly, but still fairly "squarely". One should chase away any kind of pessimism.
This person needs to think freely, without constraints. One's thinking tends to be progressive.
This person does not like to choose and strong opinions are not necessarily in one’s own way of thinking. One is rather pushed to think broadly and sometimes impersonally.
As for the planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, they must be taken into account that if they are angular in DC. In no case are these three planets Masters of a constellation: Do not confuse similarity of effect and Master. Uranus is similar to Aquarius, but true freedom requires a lot of responsibility (Saturn), that which is lacking in Uranus.
This division speaks of the relational world. Thus, it becomes terribly important because the relationships are as essential as the individual. Without relationships, nothing exists. Nobody is born in a vacuum and the D9 appears as an essential complement to the birth chart. In India there are hardly any astrologers who do not raise the D9 in conjunction with the birth chart.
This division is also about business partners or others, as well as about
sexual behavior. There is probably a lot more to discover the D9 than that
a If the Sun is strong in the D9, this individual is loved more than he loves back, he easily becomes the focal point of a relationship or association. He often stands out at social gatherings or more private ones. He knows how to make himself essential and it gives a good impression of himself. He needs to be significant. As the emotional ideal is high, there will be disappointments. However, the possibility of finding a partner with whom it will be possible to have a passionate relationship as equals, is statistically higher than average.
a Conversely, if the Sun is weak in the D9, this individual needs others too much. The lack of self-confidence could play tricks during life. One does not radiate enough and others could give it back. It is also possible that it relates to one’s spouse. One has a bad image of oneself. Relational disappointments are always to be feared. One may lack confidence in others.
b When the Moon is strong in the D9, it usually concerns an individual who is well estimated. One who always makes a good impression. Sensual, one knows how to take pleasure, and how to put people at ease. Relations reassure one. A good imagination and some fantasy allow for a rewarding life together.
b If the Moon is weak, this individual has to think if he wants to feel good. He does not necessarily feel secure in his relational life. He does not always feel comfortable and an event could jeopardize the confidence he has towards his partner. Communal life is perhaps not as reassuring as hoped for by this individual.
c If Mercury is strong in this division, this person likes to talk and share with things with a partner. The discussions are interesting and they improve life’s relationships. Curiosity, short trips or discussions are animated in the relational life. It's something happy. One knows how to listen.
c Conversely, a weak Mercury pushes the individual to have difficulty communicating with a partner. One does not know how to listen, or the other does not listen. It is also possible that one expresses oneself poorly. There are simple rules to this subject. It is possible that the latter has the same problems. One may take things too literally, depending on the emotion of the moment. A relationship does not "think", it lives, and it is difficult to live together with a script written in advance.
d If Venus is strong, that person knows to please himself. He knows exactly what makes one comfortable. A certain sensual refinement advantages his emotional life. He always has an adequate positive attitude. His kindness is rewarded, as is his firmness.
d If the Venus of D9 is weak, it does not always put one at ease in one’s emotional life, perhaps because one identifies the wrong time when one must be nice and when one should be firmer. One can have difficulties to decode the instructions in this regard. The gestures are sensual or simply kind, but are just sometimes misunderstood. One may believe that it is not worth being loved.
e When Mars is strong in the D9, sexuality is not a cause of disagreement with one’s partner. One knows exactly what gives spice to life. One’s character whole and direct is a significant advantage. Very often, the desire is fully shared. One has a little macho side that is pleasing.
e Conversely, if Mars is weak, there is often an imbalance affecting desire. It is either too strong or too weak, but it is rarely in harmony with that of one’s partner, without any effort being made. One needs to be in love to be able to express one’s sexuality without restraint.
fIf Jupiter is strong, this individual has confidence in others and they in him. He knows how to put others at ease, adopting an attitude that is always correct. This individual is enriched through contact with others. His partner gave him satisfaction.
f If Jupiter is weak, this individual is either too light with his/her partner or is too rigid. The lack of confidence may cause harm, but it may, as appropriate, sometimes be justified. The lack of fluency can create discomfort at certain times of life, causing relationship problems.
g When Saturn is strong, in relationships, once this individual has given his word, there is no turning back. Stable and sincere, he considers the emotional commitment as a serious matter. If he agrees, it will be for good reasons. One can count on him. It is likely that he attaches more importance to the union than love for the other, but it is also possible that the love given is very deep.
g If Saturn is weak, this individual may be faithful, but is not demonstrative, unless one cannot be. It is also possible that this applies to the spouse. Some suffering can colour the relational climate, as well as perhaps a lack of passion, sometimes cruel in its coldness. Unions are always fragile, with a position like this, especially if no other planetary position consolidates the union. There can exist in one form or another, a fear related to affective commitment. Maybe one happens to fear that one discover one’s weaknesses.
k With the North Node, the relational life of this individual is complex, somewhat marginal, although very (too much ?) passionate. It is not uncommon to find deceit (intentional or not) in this case. It is possible to attract foreigners to oneself or marginal personalities, or people from very different social status.
l Kethu angular or valorized causes the individual to need to have freedom in the emotional life. One may also tend to attract marginal personalities. It is possible that one’s partner had, at one point in life, big problems. It is possible that there is some tension weighing on the relational life.
If the Master of the Ascendant is strong, this individual is gifted in relational life. One knows how to put one’s partner at ease. and one’s life is enriched through contact with the other or one’s partners.
Conversely, if the ruler of the Ascendant is weak, this individual does not
always know how to approach the other. Relational attitudes cause problems.
One has no rule book, and one may often feel frustrated in relational contacts.
It is important to revise one’s way of living relationships. One’s
partners are not necessarily those that one expects.
At the relational level, this individual needs liveliness and dynamism. He prefers direct attitudes, frank and straightforward. Desire is often a relational engine.
At the relational level, very sensual, this individual needs to be carried by his feelings. He is usually concrete and needs stability. He hates wasting time in love. He easily finds a "shoe that fits".
At the level of relational, exchanges - especially those related to ideas - these are essential for this individual. He prefers relationships where feelings do not dominate too much, provided it is possible to communicate. There is a strong propensity to cerebralise feelings.
Although he can sometimes be unstable or capricious in relational matters, this individual needs a lot of security. Sensual, he needs to create a stable environment which would avoid any relationship problems. He can be very tender and exclusive. The experiences of the past are crucial in the emotional journey of his life.
If the Moon is in Leo, at the relational level, this individual needs a brilliant partner, intelligent and warm, someone he can admire. He can be very generous to his partner. He needs passion.
If the moon is in Virgo, at the relational level, this person likes to appreciate the details that build a relationship, and the dedication. He can devote himself to his spouse. He may also be too critical in this way.
If the Moon is in Libra, this individual comes to be essential for his partner. It is true that he likes to do things together and be helpful in the couple. He knows what the word "couple" means and is, therefore, an excellent partner.
When the Moon is in Scorpio, at the relational level, the feelings of this individual are not always very stable, although it is precisely the stability that he seeks. Sexual life is either very intense, or disappointing, but never "average". It is difficult to achieve emotional security. There is often deception with this Moon.
The Moon in Sagittarius forces one to be open, direct and catchy, this person likes to be free. Emotional life can take the colours from that of an adventurer. One hates being shackled by institutions that one has not decided on.
At the relational level, this individual do not necessarily like change and can be very stoic and patient. With Capricorn, relational security is rarely stable or calm without effort. The feelings are deeper and they are rarely expressed. There may leak out a feeling of coldness.
When the Moon is in Aquarius, this person is independent, and needs space. If there is no freedom in married life, one feels stifled quickly. One easily attracts partners who are 'different' and marginal - at their level.
When the moon is in Pisces, this individual is relatively dependent, unless confronted with the dependence of a partner. A secret or a mystery mark the emotional life. An impersonal attitude in love can cause problems. One can fear becoming engulfed by one’s emotional life.
The D10 is very important, because many people seem not to exist if they have no professional life. In the West, the profession is often essential, since it is a true factor of social integration.
Here again, we will speak of strengths and weaknesses.
a With the sun strong in Division 10, as this individual does not support subordinate roles, he easily takes responsibility and prefers a less well paid position, but one that he likes, to better-paying jobs and would be meaningless to him. He will shine sooner or later in his profession. His skills are broad and it seems that nothing will be impossible for him. He is a creative personality.
a Instead, with a weak sun, this individual has not always a correct view of his actual capabilities. He may tend to devalue himself, to lack confidence or – in an extreme case - to lose the global vision of the situation. He resents having lowly positions, but may stay in a post that is less creative, to his detriment, because of his lack of self-confidence. Unwanted changes in circumstances may also intervene in his life.
b If the moon is strong in D10, contacts with customers or the imagination of the individual, yield excellent results at a professional level. One’s job stability is exemplary. In this area, emotions do not cause problems. One is also appreciated for one’s reassuring and protective side.
b With the Moon weak, on the professional level, emotions play tricks on the individual. One does not necessarily feel reassured at this level. One does not like change. At certain moments of one’s existence, the professional field may be a source of instability. It is advantageous to accept changes – and this with caution.
c If Mercury is strong in Division 10, this individual has outstanding professional capabilities, for he is helped by a remarkable analytical intelligence. He knows perfectly how to explain himself, understand, analyze or discuss, about anything that affects the business world. Curious, he knows how to be opportunistic at the right level. A career related to writings, calculations, law, education or commerce in general, can be profitable, because of his expertise in these areas.
c Conversely, if Mercury is weak, on the professional level, this individual can take things too literally. His lack - or perhaps his too full - of curiosity - could cause problems if he is not careful. Ideas are not easily shared. The explanations do not hold up, and may be, at certain times in his life, a source of professional worries. If this individual is looking too much for the easy way out, he will end up regretting it. Occupations related to trade or writings in general can be problematic, despite some skills in these areas.
d If Venus is strong in D10, charm and kindness of this individual can do wonders. He knows exactly what attitude to adopt in order to be seen at his best. Occupations related to trade in luxury, wellness, personal care and pleasure (in the broadest sense) bring him satisfaction.
d If Venus is weak on the professional level, this individual does not always know how to react. He does not know how to please himself, and his kindness may be negative instead of being useful. It is possible, conversely, that one side is more brittle, being the cause of trouble. On a professional level, he does not know how to seduce, because he never had the instruction manual at this level. He must love what he does, because if he is not careful, an activity which he has no time can turn into something horrible afterwards.
e With Mars strong in D10, this individual is competent in all that touches the technical world. He is direct and frank, and this is in his favor. He is more a director, or a man on the ground, rather than an administrator.
e Mars is weak in the D10, this does not help the individual. It is possible that this individual expects some setbacks, he is not careful. He may, despite himself, be drawn into professional rivalries that may affect him negatively. It is more likely that his emotional side is playing tricks on him. He must avoid any form of jealousy, unnecessary competition, revenge and small shenanigans at work, that could turn against him, even if he is not the investigator.
f With a strong Jupiter, one will be pushed towards self-confidence. This individual is good at everything that affects administration and organization. He is appreciated for his advice and his good sense. Difficult to disrupt, he knows how to be positive and seizes the advantages offered to him.
f With Jupiter weak at the professional level, one may lack trust in others - perhaps rightly so, and may have trouble delegating. One sometimes lacks a better overview, which can deprive the person of substantial benefits. Conversely, it is possible that one does not sufficiently invest in one’s work, preferring other areas of his life. With this position, one may either lack ambition or, conversely, have too much. A problem, related to the work delegated to others, may possibly arise.
g Saturn well placed in the D10 forces one to be organized and methodical. This individual takes the time to finish his job perfectly. As he can manage his timing and his skills, he can bide his time. Patient, he has time with him. He has more the spirit of a gray eminence that that of an active worker
g In contrast, Saturn when weak in the D10, does not help the individual on a professional level. Not knowing - or unable - to always manage his time at his convenience, this individual is not necessarily at his best or spends more time than necessary to organize things. He never has time to do all that he likes. He can do too much, more than he is requested, without receiving anything in return. At times in his life, problems within the company may destabilize him. Or one does not use him to the best of his skills, or he is not taken seriously enough, one exploits him, his skills and his too strong sense of responsibility. In the worst case, which is very rare, his sense of responsibility is minimized.
k With Rahu, the work of this individual takes on a very complex form. Passion and profession can co-exist, for the better or for the worse.
l Kethu may indicate a professional life that is quite restless and unstable. At best, one has a marginal and very independent side that influences the career. It is possible that this in technology or on the cutting edge. One needs, at the very least, to work independently.
If the Master of the Ascendant is well placed, one says that the person is competent professionally. This individual will not stop at the first promotion received. It is, rightly so, properly ambitious.
If the Master of the Ascendant is weak, although it may be very competent professionally, this individual does not always feel at ease. He may lack ambition or, more simply, have trouble finding his place. His ambitions in life would probably be placed elsewhere.
The position of Master of the D10 in the constellation provide ample indications
on the profession.

Certain persons having the same position orient themselves towards religious vocations, but today, this is quite rare.
The divisions offer us the most complete, and precise, means to take on the different domains of our existence. If this method seems absolute, and extraordinaraly dependable, it is indispensible to be careful when the chart has not been rectified. The correct time of birth is the basic condition to be able to use the divisions.
